The Covid-19 pandemic saw the need for exponential change in the global landscape of research and development. The virus demanded a rapid response that required a collaborative approach, with researchers committed to developmental and communication growth through data sharing.
Collaborative research is vital in enabling the combination of expertise and resources, leading to increased innovation and success, efficient processes and communication, all to maximise impact and responsiveness to time-critical challenges.
Ledidi is a software company leading in innovation by developing Software-as-a-Service solutions for quantitative research and clinical registries. Their goal is to inspire, support and enable scientists and researchers to work and collaborate more efficiently in their quest of providing valuable insights that will bring the world and humanity forward
Their combined experience in health research, cloud computing technology and software development provide them immense advantages in the development of collaborative and efficient data management solutions for health and life science researchers.
Proficient data curation and analysis
Ledidi Core is “an end-to-end cloud-based software that removes the need for multiple software applications, combining “functionality for study design, data capture, real-time statistical analysis and graphical presentation” providing scientists and researchers the means to work collectively across institutes, countries and continents, allowing users to collaborate in all stages of the research workflow.
Ledidi Core is optimised for seamless integration in the clinic and academic sectors with user-friendly and elegant processes that require little training to master, ensuring users are burden free.
“The versatility, the elegance in which the platform captures the data, but it can then analyse the data all in one application was absolutely unique.”
- Dr. Nauman Butt a Consultant Haematologist and Ledidi-user
Studies can be designed from scratch or datasets can be imported into the platform. All data collected or imported is readily available for real-time statistical analysis. Templates can be exported from one project to another for simple reuse of variables and sharing with other Ledidi users.
Secure research data storage and sharing
Ledidi’s cloud solutions are developed using state-of-the-art technology to ensure data security and privacy are preserved at a high level “that satisfies regional and local regulatory requirements, data privacy laws and regulations, including EU-GDPR and US-HIPAA rules.” Project-specific permission settings for all users make it possible to restrict data from unauthorised parties during collaboration to ensure users remain in control of their studies and data and maintain privacy at the right level.
All data is stored securely with backup but still easily accessible for those with authorisation.
Ledidi Core has now been introduced to users all over the world and is used in hospitals within the NHS and in the US. It is used for national COVID 19 studies where all Norwegian hospitals are taking part. In addition, Ledidi has several users within the biotech and pharma industry, including a strategic collaboration with Pfizer UK.
“The challenges we face in caring for patients with cancer demand that we draw on global talent and expertise to find innovative solutions to save our patients.”
- Claudius Conrad from St. Elisabeth Hospital, a Ledidi-user
Ledidi is committed to supporting scientific collaboration by providing an efficient platform dedicated to streamlining workflows and making the research process more efficient and accessible. This way we can accelerate the research process and knowledge generation and make data from clinical registries more accessible, and thereby promote health and well-being for patients and people across the globe.
“We are much better equipped to respond and treat such diseases if we work together.”
